About Sapidyne Instruments

Sapidyne Instruments Inc. was founded in March of 1995 upon the development and application of the patented KinExA technology. Located in Boise, Idaho, Sapidyne manufactures and sells its instruments worldwide, providing superior sensitivity and accuracy in the measuring of molecular binding constants. The company takes pride in its development of new applications and offering in-depth technical support for customer inquiries.

The name Sapidyne is a combination of two stems, sapid and dyne. Sapid means savory or engaging. This comes from the Latin sapiens, which means wisdom, intellect, or a wise man. A dyne is a unit of force, which comes from a transliteration from Greek, meaning power, force, or ability. Thus, this rendering of Latin and Greek roots in the word Sapidyne is translated as an intellectually pleasing force.
